High-quality chassis and suspension components are developed and produced at three locations in Europe. The customers for the stamped and assembled components are German and European automotive manufacturers. The specialists at Umformtechnik have longstanding experience in the use of innovative materials such as aluminum and high-strength materials for lightweight autos as well as for crash-relevant components. Automated press lines, coil lines and transfer presses produce these parts ready for assembly and hence cost efficiently. The selection of design and new materials also poses complex demands to be met by the joining technologies deployed. Conventional techniques such as welding are supplemented by innovative processes such as punch-riveting and flanging for the chassis.
ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik is a capable supplier in all aspects of stampings production and assembly: starting from manufacturing consultancy at the body-in-white/chassis concept phase via method planning, prototyping, tooling and equipment familiarization down to the supply of series-production components.
