... was born in 1947. After he studied economics at Ruhr University Bochum Hans-Peter Breker started his professional career in 1974 at the auditing company Karoli-Wirtschaftsprüfung GmbH in Essen. In March 1979 he qualified as a tax consultant, and in December 1980 as an auditor. His activities covered statutory and voluntary audits of annual accounts (AG, GmbH, KG), audits of consolidated financial statements, company valuations, tax consultancy and general business consultancy.
In October 1984 Hans-Peter Breker moved to Krupp Stahl AG in Bochum as senior manager, where until March 31, 1993 he was responsible for the main accounting department.
Effective April 1, 1993, Hans-Peter Breker was appointed to the Executive Board of Krupp Hoesch Automotive GmbH in Bochum with responsibility for the controlling, finance, accounting, purchasing and data processing portfolios. Since the formation of ThyssenKrupp Automotive GmbH in 1999 Hans-Peter Breker has been a member of the Executive Board. He is responsible for the Controlling directorate.
On April 1, 2005, he was appointed to the Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG.
